  1. I am currently taking on all the carpentry jobs in a house renovation I am having done. The last time I did 'proper' carpentry was 30 years ago in school, although I spent much of my 20's hungover on the sofa watching Norm on New Yankee Workshop on the Discovery Channel! 2. I have been performing small DIY jobs for many years but am now renovating a house and since my builders idea of a finish does not align with mine, have taken on all the shelving and cabinet carpentry jobs. Thanks to some good books and YouTube, I am working my way through them, feeling as I go, but am joining this forums to get others' expert advice.
