  2. I remember seeing it in the deeds. However, someone from the council has already been and said it was ok !!! I couldn't believe it !!
  3. Hi Alex Apologies for the long cold silence... Life has really got in the way lately... Did you ever solve this? I'd start by looking for the reason it slopes off like that. What year was the house build and what part of the country is it in? Was it sloped before taking up all the existing coverings or it was only noticed once the coverings were removed? One thing I would be inclined to check is the neighbours houses... Do they have the same thing? (See what I did there? Inclined.., ahhh, I'll get my coat... Taxi...) There could, although unlikely, be a solid reason for it, which a little research may reveal. But if it's isolated to just you and nothing unfolds, then it could just be a single bit of bad luck. The best way around it is to source the exact same wood, in width, and simply make a shim to sit on top of the joist, but this would then create another problem, as I assume, your skirting boards are all installed at the height of the floor, so would also need raising up. Did you get any pictures of it?
  4. When you say "estate", are we talking about housing estate or "Countryside estate"? Do you have it in writing anywhere at all, that fences are not allowed? If so, from whom? This simply looks like a decorative driveway fence... So the next step here is to find out exactly if it is allowed or not, and on how's rules/terms is it breaking? If it's just a "Generally speaking, we don't do fences", then that's not going to apply at all.
  5. Hi Rich Thanks for your reply. Below is the picture. It's an open plan estate and fences aren't really allowed. Thanks
  6. Hiya Geek Do you have a picture of it? Typically, if they own the home, then within reason, they can put up a fence around their boundary, no problem. Is it a decorative fence or is it a 6ft high sold wall type thing? One place you can check is with your local council. They are the ones who set planning rules and who need to be asked for permission to put up any solid structures. You'll also be able to find all the planning permission requests on their website directly, and see if they have been approved or declined, appealed and revised etc. Would be interested to see a pic of this fence...
  7. Hi Evo Does your boiler light at all, under any other circumstances?
  8. I’ve fitted a Hive Hub, Receiver and mini thermostat to my Morco GB24 Series 3 boiler in caravan. All devices are talking to each other as confirmed by Hive App. When I call for heat on thermostat the green light on receiver starts boiler but the boiler fails to light. Wiring appears to be tight and not loose. Any ideas?
  9. Hi Folks My neighbour has put up a small fence around his front lawn. Nobody in the street has done that, and the neighbour's property seems to stick out from the rest of the properties in the street. Are there any rules as to whether you can put up a fence around your front lawn, or any height restrictions? Where could I get more info regarding this? Thanks in advance for your responses.
