lestat1977uk Posted November 9, 2011 Report Share Posted November 9, 2011 Hi AllI currently rent a house and in the living room i had a long run of plastic self adhesive trunking stuck to the bottom of the wall, i foolishly though that the best way to make this good would be to cut into the paper and remove the trunking along with the section of paper, then simply paste a another piece of in its place and repaint.The result unfortunately has not be as hoped, first of all i didn't have the original paper used to paper the room and instead bought some thick lining paper (as it is plain with no pattern, just painted) and the same colour paint as originally used. I have matched this up to the old paper as best as possible and painted over with several coats but it just will not match, it feels very different to the touch and just doesnt look right at all!Can anyone advise me on what the difference might be and how to go forward?
