andyp2507
Hi everyone, first time to the site. I am a first time home owner who is gradually tackling every job possible in a house! Right now it is retiling a shower which has some damp damage. I have decided to use the opportunity to replace the boring tiles for something more contemporary.I intend to strip the enclosure back to studs and start fresh but before I start hacking away at it I would like your advice on the wall construction if possible. Its a 2002 1st floor flat and generally has stud walls so I suspect the wall is either cement board or perhaps concrete rendering over plasterboard. Could anyone provide a more definite answer from the photos below?I can provide more photos if needed. I can see when I look under the shower tray that it is not solid walls and also from the hollow sound when I tap. Thanks in advance for your helpAndy
