Energy from tides by using the concept of gravitational force as gravitational force of moon gives rise to tides in the sea. The tides raise the water in sea roughly twice a day. If the water at high tide is trapped in basin by constructing a dam , then it is possible to use it as a source of energy. The dam is filled at high tide is trapped and water is released in a controlled way at low tide to drive the turbines. Hence electricity can be produced.

Hello all.
I'm decorating my hall at the moment and on one of the walls i've stripped there is a smoke alarm that is connected to the mains. I want to get rid of the alarm by completely removing it and capping the exposed wires, pushing them back into the wall and filling over it. Can anyone advise me on the correct procedure here please.
To be very true, that is the stupid thing to do so don't remove it.

Should I say it short circuiting?

In Carpentry what is the difference between a batten and a bearer?
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
Would this be a good description?
Bearer;- a term used for a batten in first fix carpentry or roofing which is normally concealed i.e. sawn timber not planed or machined timber.
Batten;- a term used for a bearer in 2nd fix carpentry that is concealed or visible and usually planned or machined timber.
I think nobody can define it better than that.
