manofgresley
HelloI am a newbie to this forum. Can any members suggest the best way to paint and seal chipboard, I have recently purchased a couple of workbenches with chipboard tops, I would like to colour them white, with a top coat of clear varnish for greater durability and to allow for easier wiping down.RegardsRay
Stephen
Hi Ray,Before you paint your chipboard you need to seal it first to prevent your paint from being absorbed by the chipboard. You can buy 'MDF primer' from B & Q. I have used it on all various types of wood and it has never let me down yet.
