Electric flow boiler alarm flashing

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm reaching out for a bit of advice as I've no previous maintenance, service or contact details for my boiler system in the flat I own.

From what I can determine I have a Electric Flow boiler system connected (somehow) to a Unvented Water Heater solution, complete with underfoor heating to each room in the flat.

The boiler is a Amptec C900 unit, which after returning power to it (by flicking the switch in the fusebox) starts up, shows a green light for 'supply' but then after a short amount of time starts flashing red in the alarm section.

I've managed to find an online manual http://www.heatandpl...ec_brochure.pdf) which suggests it may be related to water flow problems, but I've no idea about plumbing and wouldn't know where to start.

I've also noticed that located beneath where the unvented water heater is kept is a red cannister with what appears to be a pressure indicator showing zero pressure. Are these connected somehow?

I'm wondering how and what everything does and whether there is something I can do short-term to resolve the immediate error. Longer-term I'll be looking to get someone in to maintain and service the system properly but I want to understand a bit about it before I shell out a small fortune for what could be as simple as the twist of a valve or something to cure this problem.

I've attached some photos in the hopes that it may help, and I can also sketch out a piping diagram for anyone if that would help further.

Many thanks for any advice.
