PaulaB
I would be really grateful if anyone could help me with this problem. The boiler in our house is 20 years old and we don't have a manual. I have found some manuals online but the diagrams showing the bleed valve are somewhat blurred. We ran out of oil last week, had a new delivery and can't restart the boiler because there is air in it. The boiler fires up and then clicks on ... only to switch off again very soon afterwards when it realises that it hasn't got any oil.We have been given a recommendation of an engineer to try tomorrow, but I would really like to get the heating back on if possible. Can anyone describe what the bleed valve looks like on one of these boilers. I think it is the thing that will allow it to be turned with a flat head screwdriver but my husband isn't so sure! Thanks Paula
