I'm Mike, I'm 26 and my girlfriend and I recently bought our first property.

It's a 2 bedroom semi-detached bungalow in a very nice area, built in the late 1930's.

It belonged to an old gentleman that was clearly very DIY savvy but has now moved to a retirement home.

We've taken on the task of decorating the whole lot on as tight a budget as possible (without too much compromise) Luckily a friend of mine has offered to help with the wiring free of charge.

I'm always looking up guides and tips for various DIY tasks so thought I'd sign up so I can maybe ask a few more specific questions and see what other people have been up to.

Thanks

Ah haa, nice one Mike... Takes a bit these days to get your own property..

Wish we had bought a bungalow, stairs are a pain in the backside, especially for getting furniture in/out.. I dread the day we move

Ask as much as you like, and also, anything you learn, drop in and post a tutorial if you can, now I've upgraded the site today :D
