Guest gissle
Does anyone know anything about dishwashers?Ours seems to end up with water in the bottom of it sometimes after it has been used. Sometimes it can be a significant amount.I cant find any obvious blockages, although I don't want to take the thing apart.
Rich
Hi GissleDoes your dishwasher have a removable filter like washing machines do?Washing machines often suffer this when the removable filter is blocked up... It should look like a flap/small door on the front possibly?
Guest gissle
I think so, it was already here when we moved in. The filter seems to be in the base, I have taken it out, but it doesn't seem blocked. Sometimes it floods sometimes it doesn't. I wonder if the water is getting back in somehow from the outlet.I'll have a look see if there is a flap like you said.Thanks.
homesecurity
Check the waste water pipe to make sure all the water is being darined away fully.
Rich
Also, check to see if there are any kinks in the waste pipe if its a rubber pipe...Does it block up when heavily soiled items are put in the dishwasher or regardless of whats put in there?I would run a few empty cycles with something like calgon or the equivalent in it, something that can dissolve limescale and see if it happens when empty.Let us know how you get on with it mate :-)
Guest gissle
Yes, I think it was the waste pipe being in the wrong position. We adjusted it and it seems to have been OK since.
