Miranda
We have accidently damaged a teak indoor table which has heat rings in the middle. The table was handmade from reclaimed wood. Does anyone know if this can be treated? The table is waxed already and the marks are still showing. Thanks
Rich
Hi MirandaYou might want to start by contacting a french polisher. While it possibly sounds a little "over the top", french polishers are pretty much master craftsmen in perfecting polished finishes and restoring things like this.Where abouts in the UK are you as a friend of mine is a french polisher and used to work for a piano maker for many years. ThanksWe had a Teak table that had been in the family for ages and it got damaged by a hot metal pot being left on it. We searched for ages for an easy fix, but the only way we got it repaired was by using a furniture repairer who sanded and re-polished it. If you really look you can still see it a bit, but you would need to know where it was.He said there was no quick fix for burns.
