Hiya mate Welcome to the DIY forum... Now, for your floor, if you have under floor heating already, then you would need to consult the manual as to what can be put on top of it.. I assume to use something like marine grade plywood as the main supporting floor so it doesnt fall aprt or warp if it does get wet?

Hiya Paul Welcome to the DIY forum mate To answer your question, you can tile directly onto the bonding coat if you really want to, but, beware that if you ever want to change the tiles, you risk damaging the entire depth of the bonding coat, rather than just a few mm of a nice skim coat finish... Plus, bonding coat will absorb the adhesive much faster than the plastered top-coat, so "could" potentially wreck the adhesive by drying it out too quickly, as its designed primarily for wet plaster to stick to it rather than thick adhesive... If it were my place, I would plaster first, then tile, even if it was just a 5mm skim coat, then white wash it and tile away
