  3. lol, guys, have you seen what wood panelling looks like? Its horrible. I wouldnt want to have to paint over it, and I certainly would not want it on any of my walls. As said already, check underneath it to see what its actually stuck to, because if its glued to wallpaper then it should come right off without damaging the walls, but if it is stuck to the wall itself, then a VERY sharp scraper from the local decorators merchants and some steam could also get it right off in a flash if you can get the scraper behind the panels to the glued sections. If not, then tearing it off may take small chunks out of the plaster, as said by "theparks" earlier..
  4. Hiya Walkingman... Have you spoken to your local councils building inspector about this yet?

  20. Hey Mike Its worth keeping in mind that 13amps is the MAXIMUM load, and ideally, you dont want to run more than 1 x 4 way extension lead off a single socket, as it also depends on the wiring inside your walls too. While the extension leads might be capable of taking the load, the wiring behind the wall/under the floor might not, and the extra resistance of all those sockets could be cause for concern in cable heating, so its best get it checked by an electrician. Far safer to use a ring main cable to take a double socket to the wall properly than to push all the current through 1 socket.. Its worth paying an electrician to come out and check it over to make sure its safe than to run the risk of testing your smoke alarms for real
  21. Hiya Linux Sadly, those marks are stains in the varnished/polished finish. Are you sure those arn't floor boards/planks? It looks like floorboards that will need re-finishing after sanding, or the easier and cleaner way would be to replace them..
