Hi Sharon Thats perfectly do-able, no reason why not. Your clearly aware that it will be smaller and fittings need removing/moving, so if your happy to chop up your table then go for it.

Ahhh, thats the stuff... Looks like apple juice when you brush it on and gives the surface a slightly sheen finish that you then paint directly onto... God help you if you splash it on double glazing too, its seriously stubborn, so keep a WET cloth with you the entire time your using it to wipe up spalshes straight away or they will set and never come off. I painted my house afterwards with sandtex paint and was totally impressed, its great stuff, and the colours are really nice, I used a brown and did the lower 18inches of the walls in chocolate brown, everything from the bell drip down to the floor and it looks great....

Hiya GeordieF You say you get a heavy frost UNDER the flat roof? Is that correct?

Hi Bear I'm about to do my new fence shortly, and did my mums fence not long ago using a sprayer. I have to say, it is THE quickest way to do it. So long as your careful and try to pick a nice calm, still day with little/no wind, you really wont end up with it all over your lawn, in fact, if your also reasonably careful when filling it up, you shouldnt spill any, anywhere at all, maybe just put a dustsheet down on the edge of your lawn if your worried. There are a few out there like these: Ronseal Fence Sprayer - Power SprayerCuprinol Fence & Decking Power SprayerThose are 2 fairly decent ones, but avoid the cheap skate ones as my old man discovered, the same model busted twice and we didnt even make it half way round his fence, so it cost 2 extra trips back to B&Q... I thnk when I do mine I'll most likely go with the Cuprinol Power Sprayer as it has its own 12v battery and charges up in 60 minutes, although for £15 less, the Cuprinol Fence & Decking Power Sprayer which looks and sounds even more awesome, doesnt say anything about batteries? I'm guessing you need to fill it with £10+ worth of those huge D cells to use it, so the cost is probably the same it seems for both, only the £45 one only needs 1 battery for the entire life your going to actually use it. Using a roller, you really will make more mess than you need to, with all the treatment flicking off the roller everywhere, typically all over yourself and the lawn, and a roller will miss loads of the bumps and joins in the fence too, you will be there for ages, and every bit of dirt that can, will stick to your roller too... Show us a before/after pic and what you used and how you got on, I'd really love to hear about it :-)

Hi A9... Long time no answer, thought I would chip in on this, as that silver foil stuff is intended to be stapled to the rafters, very loosely, your not looking for air-tight, and should always start at the top and work down, ensuring the lower peices always overlap the higher peices, in case of moisture running down the inside of it. It is however the case that put simply, non-breathable materials will cause moisture build ups and the only thing you can do is live with it or change it. That silver foil stuff is far more useful behind radiators

Hey Mickey Apologies for not getting back to ya, things have been hectic this last 12 months... I assume you did your wall in the end? Got a pic?

Hiya Mozzy You can actually get some fireproof cement, designed for just this job, but yes, leaving a gap between the backwall and the clay fireback is wise to prevent direct heat transfer, but adding protection is wise to protect the back wall from radiated heat, and also the surrounding walls. You will most likely also need to install a form of chimney piping too, in the inside of your chimney. Have a word with your local council building inspectors as they will know the exact requirements for your area too.

Claire Are you able to see under the wood to tell if its stuck directly onto the wall itself, or if there seems to be any wallpaper that it may have been stuck to?

Hiya Glenn Thanks for dropping in, seems you missed the welcome section with your own welcome thread.... Would you happen to have a picture of what you currently have and are looking to acheive?

Hi Tony Are you able to turn the worktop over completely or has it been cut to fit a specific shape perfectly?
